Today’s Scripture(s) – (Read Jeremiah 9:17-26)

Jeremiah 9:23-24

“Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.”

SOUND THE ALARM! SOUND THE ALARM! SOUND THE ALARM! It’s time to send for the wailing women and to teach our daughters to wail and we must need to make haste! (Be quick about it). The word that I hear in my spirit from the Lord is this: Complacent. Many of us have become ‘COMPLACENT’. We have not been commanded to be ‘complacent’. We have been commanded to ‘GO’ go to the hedges and highways and byways, to go and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ! Complacent – pleased, especially with oneself or one’s merits, advantages, situation, often without awareness of some potential danger or defect; self -satisfied. Many of us have been lulled into a stupor and don’t even know it! (Help Us Holy Spirit!) We have taken on the ways of this world and deception has blinded our eyes from seeing what IS happening! (Oh, how my heart cries this morning! Oh, My Lord, My Lord, My Lord – FORGIVE US FOR OUR COMPLACENCY). Many have become so caught up in what’s happening in their own lives that they cannot and will not and do not pray for anyone else but themselves. I know, I know, this sounds hard today, but I must tell you my brothers and my sisters. We have to learn to stand up and take the good with the bad and the bitter with the sweet. We all want to hear what makes us feel good, but we also need to hear the ‘truth’. The ‘complacent’ life says nothing is more important than what is going on in my life. The ‘complacent’ life says if I’m not happy, no one else has the right to be happy either. The ‘complacent’ life says I want, I want, I want and I’m going to get what I want. The ‘complacent’ life says, look at this: Luke 12:16-19 “And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much good laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.” It is not just the rich man that has become ‘complacent’ it is also the laymen/women as well the laymen/women say I have all that I need and they sit back and enjoy life and never touch one soul for the kingdom of God or they complain about their life and live the “woe is me” way of life and never touch one soul for the kingdom of God. We have got to get in our place of seeking God the Father, be sure within yourself that you know the Lord people of God. Be sure that you have a real relationship with the Lord. Not lips service relationship, but real true love relationship with the Lord, be sure that you are delighting yourself in Him. Be sure, if there is one little inkling in within you that says, ‘well I think so but I’m not sure’, get it right seek the Lord, ask Him to reveal to you what is the uncircumcised of your heart and ask Him to circumcise it. We have got to get out of complacency and get on our faces and get to wailing for our families, our cities, our nation and our country, it is not too late but we must make haste! 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Today’s Prayer:

Father I bless your holy name this day and I give you all the honor and worship and praise. Thank you for all that you have done for me. Thank you for all that you are doing for me even now. Father God I bless you and thank you and praise you and exalt you and give you all the glory. Thank you Father God, thank you. Thank you for waking me up this morning and thank you Father for keeping watch over me on last night as I slept. Father I thank and praise you for sending your angels to surround me, to encamp around about me as I slumbered, ready to do battle on my behalf. Father I thank you. You are so good to me and so great and I love you Lord, I love you Lord. I love you and I am so happy and so glad that you love me, thank you for loving me Father God. Father today I ask that you would forgive me for being complacent, forgive me Father God for being at ease. Forgive me Lord for not taking up my cross and following you. Forgive me Lord for trying to go my own way doing my own thing. Forgive me Father. Forgive me Lord for not being in a place of wailing before you, pouring out all of me decreasing in self, so that I can take in more of you. Forgive me Lord for living the complacent life and not touching the lives of others for your glory, forgive me Father God for the times that I have been self-centered, self-motivated and just plain selfish. Forgive me Lord for the ‘it’s all about me’ way of thinking and living. Forgive me Father God and wash me Lord Jesus in your blood, cleansing me from a ‘complacent’ selfish life. I want to be pleasing in your eyes Lord, I want my life to please you Father God. I desire to delight myself in you Lord and I want you Father to be delighted with me. Father I thank you and I praise you and I lift you up and glorify your name. You are so good and so great, lead me this day, guide me this day and keep my feet on the right pathway Father. Thank you Lord, bless you Lord, In Jesus name I pray. Amen

If You Have Not Made Jesus Lord Of Your Life Pray This Prayer:

Today Lord, right this very minute I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I need a Savior. Your word says that there is no other name under heaven by which a man or woman can be saved and that name is Jesus. Today I repent of every sin that I have ever committed, I repent of every sin that I have done and I ask you Jesus to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. I believe that you Lord Jesus shed your precious blood and died for my sins, I am willing to turn from sin and live a life that is holy and pleasing in your sight. I now invite you Christ Jesus to come into my heart and live in me and be my personal Savior. I ask that you would fill me with your precious Holy Spirit, lead and guide me in this life Lord Jesus. Thank you for saving my soul. Amen.
