Guard Your Heart!

Today’s Scripture(s) – Proverbs 4:23

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

We must learn to take care of our heart. We must also learn to put within our hearts what is right, what is pure, what is clean, because whatever is in our heart is what is going to come out of us. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. (See Matthew 12:34). What I feel the Lord speaking to me today to speak to you is: ‘Keep your eyes on Him.’ The emotions of our heart can only be kept by the Lord. The Lord does not want us to be heartbroken. It is not the Lord’s will for us to be abused of man or woman, boy or girl. The biggest problem we have with relationships is this: Many are not seeking the Lord FIRST. Waiting is not easy. Waiting can be extremely hard. We by nature want what we want when we want it but what many of us need to do is, WAIT. Wait on the Lord. Many of us do the OPPOSITE of this: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.” (Proverbs 3:5-7). Many of us do not acknowledge the Lord in all that we do. We go with what we think is the right way and then when we find ourselves, once again, broken, disappointed and in many cases shamed we cry “why is this happening to me or why does this always happen” or we blame others for the decisions that WE have made, knowing full well that we have not acknowledged or consulted the Lord. We say that we have sought the Lord but what we have truly done is said “Lord, I’m going to do such and such, help me” and then we go and do it without waiting to hear what the Father has to say, because it seems good to us. This is what we need to do: “I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.” Psalm 40:1. “Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage forever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart. I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end.” Psalm 119:111-112. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33. “Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.” Psalm 119:133. “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” Psalm 27:14 and “Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.” Psalm 34:24. Allow the Lord to make you and mold you. Allow the Lord to heal you and deliver you, the process does not happen overnight! “But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” James 1:4. This is the real deal, we are no good to ourselves or anyone else if we are broken, confused and directionless and if we are in this state what we are going to attract is the very same thing, someone broken, someone confused and someone directionless. Guard your heart, turn your face to the Lord and allow the Holy Spirit to make you every wit whole then the Lord will bring your true mate, the one that the Father has prepared for you.

Today’s Prayer:

Father I thank you for this day and every day that you have allowed me to see. I bless you Father for your goodness and your mercy and your grace on my life. I thank you Father God for being so good and so wonderful to me. Lord I thank and praise you for all things. Father today I pray for the broken hearted. I ask Lord that you would touch them and bring healing and deliverance to their lives. You Lord know all that they have endured. You Lord know every hurt, every pain, every disappointment and every shame. I ask Father that you would wrap your arms around them and comfort them Father God. Pour out your peace on them Father, the pain is real, the shame is real, the heart hurt is real Father, you know this. Keep them Father cause them to turn their faces to you Lord only to you. Don’t allow the enemy to trick them into seeking solace in sin Father God. Cause their eyes to turn to you and cause their hearts to incline toward you Lord. Let their minds be clear on waiting on you Father God. Give them understanding that waiting on you Father means to seek you, commune with you, develop true intimate relationship with you Lord, that you become truly their all in all. That you Lord truly become first in their lives. Open their ears to hear your voice clearly Father God, through your word. Open their eyes to see you clearly Father God, through your word. Give them understanding in your word Father and strengthen their hearts. Father I thank you and I praise you for what you are doing in each and every one of my brothers and sisters. I thank you Father for your peace and your love on every one of them. You Lord are the mender of broken hearts and I know and believe Father God that your joy is filling them and strengthening them and you Father are making them every wit whole. Blessing and honor and glory and power to you Father God for your great goodness and your wonderful mercy and grace! You are so good Lord and I bless your holy name! In Jesus name I pray. Amen
