Do Not Forget!
Today’s Scripture(s) – Ezekiel 16:4-6
“And as for thy nativity, in the day thou was born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all. None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born. And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou was in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou was in thy blood, Live.”
God Himself has spoken over our lives and commanded us to LIVE! Do not forget where the Lord has brought you from. Do not forget what the Lord has brought you out of. Now there are some who may be reading this who have not experienced ‘hell’ in their lives. (Bless the Lord)! But there are many who are reading this that have experienced ‘hell’ in their lives and possibly are even now going through a dessert time. Instead of constantly reminding yourself of the ‘horror’ you are going through, instead of constantly crying about what the enemy has done to you or is doing to you. Meditate on how the Lord has brought you out! Think on how the Lord has seen you through those hard times and give Him praise and when the Lord brings you through this time too, remember that it was by His Spirit. Zechariah 4:6 “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” It is the Lord that was passing by you, it was the Lord who was passing by me, he saw us wallowing in our own blood, we were castaways and He looked on us and commanded that we LIVE! As I read chapter 16 of Ezekiel my thoughts wander to how so many of us at some time in our lives turned our back on the Father after He has lifted us up, provided for us, clothed us and abundantly given to us. Many have been in a destitute place and by the grace of Almighty God He brought us out and He set our feet in a large place. He prospered us and caused us to appear before ‘kings’ and some, after the Father has done so much for us turned and forgot that it was not by our own power. Some of us have turned and boasted and bragged about ‘ourselves’ rather than giving God the glory. Some of us sound like this: Daniel 4:29-30 “At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?” Some of us have turned to our own ways that the Lord views as abominable, (forget about how man views and what man thinks, it is Father God Almighty’s views and thoughts that are of utmost importance.) Ezekiel 16:22 “And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood.” Be of a meek heart, be of a humble heart, be of a contrite heart, be of a thankful heart, be of a grateful heart, Do Not Forget!
Father I give you praise! Father I exalt your great name! Father I honor and adore you! Father I worship and glorify you! Father I love you and magnify your great name! Father I thank you for waking me up this morning and I thank and praise you for your great goodness to me. Lord I thank you, thank you thank you! Lord I bless you and thank you for everything! Lord, don’t let me forget! Lord, don’t allow me to forget where you brought me from. Lord, don’t allow me to forget how you delivered me and set me free. Lord, I will not forget all you have done for me! I will not forget Lord how you set me free and delivered me from oppression and depression. Lord I will not forget how you brought me out of darkness and into your marvelous light! I will not forget Lord! I will not forget! I am so grateful to you Lord that you did not just pass me by, that you did not just leave me wallowing in my own blood. I thank you Lord for picking me up and cleansing me and washing away every trace of pollution. Father God I thank you, thank you thank you! I thank you Lord for my life! Thank you Father for speaking and commanding me to LIVE! Lord I thank you! I thank you for your mercy and your grace. I thank you for your love and your kindness. I thank you Father God for keeping me and shielding me and protecting my life. Lord I thank you for fighting for me, I can do nothing without you Lord! Help me Holy Spirit, keep me of a meek heart, keep me of a humble heart, keep me of a contrite heart please keep me of a thankful and grateful heart Lord. Keep the door of my lips Lord and bridle my tongue. Keep my heart right Lord! Keep my heart right. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight Father God. I thank you Father. I bless you Father. I honor you and adore you Father God. I thank you Father God for being so good and so great to me. I will not forget what you’ve done for me and I will not turn my back on you Lord and I will not turn to wicked, abominable ways. Blessing and honor and glory and power to you Father God forever! In Jesus name I pray. Amen
