(Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”)
“Go tell it on the mountains, over the hills and everywhere. Go tell it on the mountains that Jesus Christ is born!” Yes, this is the song that was in my spirit this morning and it still amazes me that the Lord brings these old songs to my heart to say what it is that He gives me to say to you and me. This is the season that the world celebrates. We Christians celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world celebrates the ‘Season of Giving’ or ‘Holiday Season’, whatever that means. Oh, wait, we Christians celebrate this season as the ‘Season of Giving’ and or ‘Holiday Season’ as well. The stores are filled with everyone running here and there to buy presents for this one and that one. Everyone is lite of heart, jovial, friendly and almost without a care in the world. We put up our trees and decorate them, we put up our lights in the windows, we wrap every gift and stick them under the decorated tree and smile with glee and exclaim with joy ‘It’s A Celebration!’ I have nothing against celebrating this time of the year as a matter of fact my own birthday is two days after Christmas. I celebrate this time of year in remembrance of the birth of our Lord and Savior of the world Jesus Christ. But look, here is a celebration that goes on in heaven every time …..(click link to read prayer. (Please Share) http://conta.cc/1Pd53rG –
(This Week’s Scripture of Encouragement):
Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
