A Prayer A Day 2/23/2016 – What’s Your Will?
(Psalm 119:15-16 “I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.”)
Did you ever hear someone refer to a child as being ‘strong willed’? I remember hearing this a few times and upon examination of a child that is referred to as being ‘strong willed’ that particular child would be determined to do whatever he or she wanted to do. You could not deter them and nine times out of ten if you tried to stop that child he or she would throw such a terrible fit and continue to do or try to get what they wanted. With that said I have a question for you. How bad do you want to be pleasing in the sight of the Lord? How determined are you to delight yourself in His ways and not forget His word? The Psalmist says in today’s scripture “I Will”. He says “I will meditate in thy precepts and have respect unto thy ways.” He says “I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.” In reading these verses today there are three words that strike me “I Will” and “In”, in and on are not the same Child of God. In – means to be enclosed or surrounded by. On – means to be supported by a surface. Is it your will, desire to meditate ‘in’ the precepts of the Lord? Is it your will, desire to delight yourself ‘in’ Him? How bad do you want it? Are you willing to…..(click link to read prayer. (Please Share) http://conta.cc/1RYy6Ay
(This Week’s Scripture of Encouragement):
