A Prayer A Day 11/07/2016 – Good God Morning Dear One!
This morning I am compelled to pray for eyes that truly see and ears that truly hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. Proverbs 3:6 tells us to acknowledge the Lord in all our ways. When we acknowledge the Lord in all that we do we are going to Him and seeking Him about everything. Verse 5 tells us to not lean on our own understanding, what does that mean? Don’t take stock in your own opinion or anyone else’s opinion. We need to be asking, what does the Lord say about this or that? We live in a time that people want an answer ‘yesterday’ when in reality we must be willing to wait for the answers we seek and often times that, calls for an abundance of patience. Patience is a hard place to settle into, because sometimes having patience means waiting for a time that seems like forever. What we must do while we are ‘waiting’ is delve deeper into the ways of the Lord. What we must do while we are waiting is call upon the name of the Lord. What we must do while we are waiting is seek His face, get in His word and keep our eyes, ears and heart open to hearing what the Spirit is saying to the church.
