A Prayer A Day 01/12/2017 – No Stagnant Water!
Today’s Scripture(s) – Ecclesiastes 3:1
I have been dealing with this word for quite some time now and I feel the Lord prompting me to address it now and that word is ‘Stagnant’. This is the dictionary definition of stagnant, Stagnant: having no current or flow and often having an unpleasant smell as a consequence (of a body of water or the atmosphere of a confined space); showing no activity; dull and sluggish. I was sitting talking with my daughter in law a few days ago and as we were conversing ‘stagnation’ came up and then I heard in my spirit: ‘Stagnant Water’. I grabbed a pen and piece of paper to write down what I heard the voice of the Lord begin to speak: Stagnant water is water that sits too long, no fresh water is being poured into it to run off the old water, therefore the water becomes cloudy, dirty and begins to stink. Child of God, are you in a stagnant place? This is the result of stagnation: inactivity, sluggish behavior, lethargy, depression, dying, death and dormancy. We must make moves! If we do not move we eventually become stagnant. Which brings us to: Today’s Scripture Verse(s) – “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1.
