A Prayer A Day 01/16/2017 – Is Your Mouth Foul?
Today’s Scripture Verse(s) – Matthew 15:18-20a; Luke 6:45
I am hearing many that claim Christ using foul language more and more these days. In anger or in just plain old conversation, this is disturbing to me. Is it disturbing to you Child of God? I have heard, “Well I get mad, or I get angry and that’s just what comes out”. Well, I have scripture verse for that, which takes us to: Today’s Scripture Verse(s) – “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man:” Matthew 15:18-20a. “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.” Luke 6:45. Whatever is in you is going to come out of you and if it comes out of you it is in your heart, abundantly. These words may cause some to cringe and if they do, I say, GOOD! Child of God, we cannot allow foulness to dwell within us. We cannot hide behind “I’m angry”, “I’m mad”, “I’m hurt”, “I’m upset”. These are no excuses for allowing our mouths to speak foulness, cussing and swearing. I was reminded about a week…..(Click link to read entire prayer. Please Share) http://conta.cc/2jqKezH
This Week’s Scripture Verse of Encouragement:
“I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.”
