A Prayer A Day 02/06/2017 – Trouble, Trouble? Pay The Vows YOU Made!
Today’s Scripture(s) – Psalm 66:13-14
We all at some time or other find ourselves to be in trouble. Oh, some of us have big trouble and some of us have little trouble but the real of it all is: trouble is trouble. Have you ever found yourself in a place of trouble that you did not know how you were or could get out of it? Did you utter any words that sounded like this: “Lord if you get me out of this I will serve you till the day I die”? It may not have been those exact words but they were definitely something ‘like’ that. Are you aware that those words you spoke were and is, a vow that you made to the Lord? This takes us to: Today’s Scripture Verse(s) – “I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows, Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.” Psalm 66:13-14. Ponder for a moment. Do you have some unpaid vows that you have made unto the Lord? You may say, “no, none that I can think of.” Or, you may say, “I don’t remember”. Are you willing to ask the Lord if you have any vows that you have not paid Him? A vow is a solemn promise. Solemn means serious. Read the entire Psalm 66.
