A Prayer A Day 02/28/2017 – That Sneaky Snake
Today’s Scripture(s) – Genesis 3:1
The very first thing we see about the enemy in Genesis chapter 3 is that he is subtil, meaning, he is cunning, he is wily, he is crafty, he operates insidiously, he is mentally acute and penetrative. This brings us to: Today’s Scripture Verse(s) – “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” Genesis 3:1. The second thing we see about the enemy is that he knows how to twist words to make you think and, if you are not careful, respond. (Genesis 3:2-3). The third thing we see about the enemy is he says that Father God is a liar, (Genesis 3:4), when in fact the fourth thing we see about the enemy is that, ‘he’ is the liar, (Genesis 3:5). Listen, Child of God. You better know who the enemy is because he will come talking and sounding ‘right’ when in fact he is ‘wrong’ and if you not recognize his voice you will fall into listening to what he is saying and you will succumb to that sneaky snake just like Eve did.
