A Prayer A Day 04/5/2017 – Love Them? Yes, Love Them.
Today’s Scripture(s) – Matthew 5:44-45
It’s hard to love those that we feel has wronged us. It’s hard to think on that person who did us ‘dirty’ with any kind of love, isn’t it? We don’t like them so how can we actually love them, right? This takes us to: Today’s Scripture Verse(s) – “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.” Matthew 5:44-45. How many of us actually pray for those that have wronged us? Okay, let me clarify because many pray for those that have wronged them but the prayer that is uttered is not a prayer of blessing. How many of us actually pray asking the Lord to bless them? How many of us actually pray asking the Lord to keep them and protect them and shield them? How many of us actually pray asking the Lord to bless the work of their hands and prosper them? That’s a bit much to ask the Lord to do for them, right?
