A Prayer A Day 04/12/2017 – The Oil, The Anointing Keeps Them Out!
Today’s Scripture(s) – Psalm 23:1,5
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. …. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” Psalm 23:1,5. ‘Thou anointest me head with oil’, that is what is in my spirit this morning. The Lord anoints our heads with oil Child of God. Have you ever wondered what the significance of anointing the head with oil is? The Psalmist starts out with, ‘The Lord is my shepherd’. The Shepherd tends to the sheep. We all know this. Why does the shepherd anoint the sheep’s head with oil? Upon looking this up I found that the shepherd anoints the head of the sheep with oil to keep the bugs, (fleas, lice, flies and the like), from burrowing into the ears and I am sure the eyes of the sheep. You see if these things burrow into the ears of the sheep they can ultimately cause death to the sheep. But, if the sheep’s head is anointed with oil, when these ‘bugs’ come in contact with the head of the sheep they slide off and are unable to stick to the sheep therefore they are unable to burrow into the sheep’s ears …..(Please Share) To Read Entire Prayer >>http://conta.cc/2o6icsF

This Week’s Scripture Verse of Encouragement:
“I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.”
