A Prayer A Day 04/26/2017 – Spirit In The Bottle
Today’s Scripture(s) – Ephesians 5:18-19; 1 Corinthians 3:16-17
How do you feel about going to the store to buy Liquor? Are there Christians that drink? (Warning: I am about to offend some today.) For those of you who are drinkers, (I am speaking to professed Christians), let’s examine the name of the store that we travel to, to purchase our liquor, (I am saying ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ to keep it neutral, as I DO NOT drink anymore). The name of the store: “Wine and Spirits”. The enemy has put it plainly in our face and many of us do not correlate because many of us still do not truly believe that there are demons, devils and unclean spirits walking among us. This is the definition of “Liquor”: alcoholic drink, especially distilled spirits. (I don’t know about you but this definition messed me up). This is what happens when one goes to the ‘wine and spirits’ store: They go in, purchase their bottle of liquor, (bottle of spirits), they go wherever they are going and consume, ingest the liquid that contains the ‘spirits’ and their demeanor takes a change. Some become solemn and quiet, lethargic, depressed. Some become loud, belligerent, angry, feisty.
