A Prayer A Day Insights
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the Great Shepherd of the sheep. We are His sheep and He cares for us. Jesus is not a shepherd that will leave His flock to the wolves and to the bears.  Jesus will stand against the adversary for us, He Is The Great Shepherd. Jesus will not leave the flock hungry and weakened. Jesus will lead us to green pastures and beside still waters Jesus will restore our souls, He Is The Great Shepherd. Jesus will not leave the flock to find their own way he will not leave the flock to walk through the valley of the shadow of death. Jesus will be with us when we go through the storms of this life. He is the Great Shepherd and we, Child of God, are the sheep of His pasture. You are of great value to Him.
~ A Prayer A Day
Psalm 23
1. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2.  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3.  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4.  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5.  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

1 Peter 5:6-7
6.  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7.  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Luke 12:6-7
6.  Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
7.  But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Matthew 8:26-27
26.  And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
27.  But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

Prayer: Father God in the name of Jesus I give you praise for another day.  Father I thank you for your goodness and your mercy.  I bless you Father for your love and your kindness.  I give you glory for your grace and peace on my life, the lives of my love ones and the lives of all of my brothers and sisters in you.  Lord today I just want to thank you for being my Great Shepherd.  You never leave me.  You never forsake me.  You are with me through every trial, every storm, every unsavory circumstance.  I thank you Father for leading and guiding my footsteps and I thank you Father for battling on my behalf.  Thank you for not allowing the enemy to touch me Lord, thank you for hiding me under the shadow of your wings.  You Father are so good and so great, thank you for providing my every need.  I look to you Lord for all things.  My hope is in you.  My trust is in you.  My dependence is on you my Lord and my Savior.  I give you praise!  In Jesus name I pray.  Amen
