A Prayer A Day 8/2/2017 – Forgive
Today’s Scripture Verse(s) – Luke 23:34; Matthew 6:15
These words spoken from the mouth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ reverberate from that moment into this moment and throughout every generation to come. This takes us to: Today’s Scripture Verse(s) – “Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.” Luke 23:34. “But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will you Father forgive your trespasses.” Matthew 6:15. The Father does not look lightly on an unforgiving heart. I know that for some to see this, it stings. You may be saying “But she did this to me or he did that to me or they hurt me.” I get that, I hear that, I understand that, but, we are expected to forgive, truly forgive not do the fake “I forgive you, but”. An unforgiving heart carries bitterness, pain and sickness. An unforgiving heart is not in the will of God. An unforgiving heart breeds hated. (I know that these are strong words and tears are rolling down my face as I hear them in my spirit). Who are we to…..
